Frank Sully
Born 17 June 1908 · Saint Louis, Missouri, USA · Died 17 December 1975Francis Thomas Sullivan, aka Frank Sully, was an American character actor. Beefy and square-jawed, he was usually cast as rustic types or dumb heavies. He was a regular feature in Three Stooges shorts. Sully started his career as a comedian in vaudeville and appeared on Broadway from the late 1920s. He is known for the films The Grapes of Wrath (1940), The More the Merrier (1943) and Bye Bye Birdie (1963).
